Hello and welcome to my blog
Today I feature a beautifully simple gate fold card using Stampin' Up! Delightfully Detailed Designer Paper Series and the Varied Vases Stamp Set. The pretty floral design is matched with Night of Navy, Powder Pink and Whisper White cardstock and the stamped images are coloured with the wonderful Stampin' Classic ink.
Cut cardstock as follows:
- Night of Navy cardstock 4 1/4 inches x 11 3/4 inches (11cm x 29cm), score at 5 7/8 inches (14.5cm) to form base card
- Whisper White cardstock 4 inches x 5 5/8 inches (10.5cm x 14cm) for inside panel.
- Floral panel of Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper
- Whisper White circle 2 inches (5cm) across
- Banner in Power Pink 5/8 inches x 2 inches (1.5cm x 5 cm)
Attach Laser-Cut panel to Night of Navy base card white side up at the desired angle using small spots of liquid glue around edge and evenly over pattern. Pay particular attention to parts of the pattern that have potential to move freely.
Stamp blooms on Whisper White Circle in black ink. Do not ink up whole
stem – only top 1/3 to 1/2 – so it doesn’t peek out from bottom of vase. Colour
blooms with markers, Stampin Blends or using infill stamps from set in Powder
Pink and Pacific Point (direct or stamped off Night of Navy could be used
instead of Pacific Point).
Stamp banner with Birthday Wishes sentiment in Night of Navy ink and
trim if desired.
Stamp small patterned vase on scrap of Powder Pink cardstock and cut out
by hand or using Vase Builder Punch. Attach vase to stamped circle with liquid
glue (you could use foam squares if you like the effect). It doesn’t matter too
much if vase is positioned slightly off circle – in fact I think it looks quite
nice if it does.
Assemble card with stamped circle in bottom right hand corner of
Laser-Cut panel and banner running horizontally to left of circle – again you
can use foam squares if desired.
Stamp inside panel with sentiment and blooms as desired and attached to
inside of card with liquid glue.
Finished. Well Done!
