Box Card featuring Magical Day stamp set  by Stampin' Up Today I combined two of my favourite things - the box card and Stampin' Up's Magical Day Stamp Set. I was aiming to make a bright colourful child's box card which fits in a standard A6 envelope (for cheaper postage) and I think this one ticks all the boxes. The box itself is a standard pattern - you could probably find a million templates online - but here are the specifications for this project. Start with a piece of black cardstock cut to 5 3/4 inches x 8 1/2 inches (this is half an A4 sheet for convenience). Score lengthways in half and at 2 inches, 4 inches, 6 inches and 8 inches in the opposite direction Cut to centre on each vertical score line and removed the smallest flap as below. This makes a tab for gluing. Construct card by gluing tab to opposite end and folding down 3 of the four flaps. Cut 4 pieces of grey card stock to 1 7/8 inches x 2 3/4 inches and emboss u
Two cards using Bella and Friends Stamp Set Today I am using the Bella and Friends Stamp Set to create two very different cards - one sweet and simple and the other slightly over the top. To add colour I have used the fabulous SU Blends which, I have to say, are incredibly fun and easy to use and give great results. Let’s start with the simple card (which if I’m honest is probably my favourite of the two). Starting with a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to 5 1/2 x 3 7/8 inches, stamp the cute image of Bella and her tortoise friend in black ink. Using the Stampin’ Blends colour in Bella and the tortoise as desired. Here I have used blended light and dark Crumb Cake for Bella with the white patch on her belly and muzzle blended using Colour Lifter and blended light and dark Old Olive for Mr Tortoise. Then add colour to sky and grass. I have used light Pool Party and light Old Olive and again blend well with Colour Lifter. Once dry
Happy Birthday Card  Using Eclectic Expressions Stamp Set  This beautiful birthday card uses the wonderfully versatile Eclectic Expressions Stamp Set and inks in shades of pink and red. It would be just as fantastic in blue, green or any other shade to suit your recipient.  I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock 3 7/8 in x 5 1/2 in. Using the large cloud stamp and at least three matching inks (I’ve used Sweet Sugarplum, Rose Red and Powder Pink) I covered most of the white with colour. Try to spread the different colours evenly, overlap if you have to and be prepared to go off the edge of the cardstock (by positioning work on scrap paper or washable surface). Once dry, attach inked cardstock to a piece of light coordinating cardstock (here it’s Powder Pink) cut to 4 inches x 5 5/8 inches and then to your base card. My base is Sweet Sugarplum, cut to measure 8 1/4 inches x 5 3/4 inches, scored and folded in half crossways to produce a 4 1/8 x 5 3/4 card. The se
