Today I feature another cute floral birthday card using the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set from the 2018-19 Annual Catalogue.
This card celebrates the beautiful bright tones of new In Colour Grapefruit Grove and old favourite Lemon Lime Twist - using cardstock, ink and Stampin' Blends in these vibrant colours.
The sentiment "Here's to celebrating you" can be stamped in black ink or gold heat embossed for that touch of something extra special.
Cut cardstock as follows:
- Grapefruit Grove to 8 1/4" x 5 3/4" - score and fold this piece at 4 1/4" to make 5 3/4" x 4 1/8" base card
- 2 x Whisper White to 5 1/2" x 4"
Using black ink stamp 2 flowers with leaves and one single bloom from stamp set on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock.
Colour flowers in dark and light Pumpkin Pie Stampin Blends or markers and leaves in light Old Olive. Cut out and put aside.
Stamp "Happy Birthday" sentiment alternating between Grapefruit Grove and Lemon Lime Twist ink down the left hand side of one piece of Whisper White card.
Using a small piece of sponge apply Lemon Lime Twist in a circular motion roughly in the centre of the stamped area. Apply more heavily and therefore darker in the centre gradually fading towards the edges.
Stamp small buds and spots from stamp set on sponged area.
Cut a small (approx. 1 3/4 inch) scalloped circle from scrap of white cardstock and stamp with "here's to celebrating you" sentiment and small blossoms as desired. Cut slightly larger circle from black cardstock. Mount scalloped circle on black circle with foam squares.
Assemble panel and mount on Grapefruit Grove base card.
Attach second Whisper White panel to the inside of card and stamp as desired.
