Gate Fold Card featuring Garden Expression DSP and Varied Vases Stamp Set


Hello and welcome to my blog
Today I feature a beautifully simple gate fold card using Stampin' Up! Garden Expressions Designer Paper Series and the Varied Vases Stamp Set. The pretty floral paper is matched with Night of Navy and Whisper White cardstock and the stamped images are coloured with the wonderful Stampin' Blends.

Cut cardstock as follows:
  • Night of Navy cardstock 4 1/4 inches x 11 inches, score at 1 1/4 inches and 6 3/4 inches
  • Whisper White cardstock 2 panels at 4 inches x 5 1/4 inches plus one panel at 4 inches x 1 inch
  • Garden Expressions Designer Series Paper: 3 7/8 inches x 5 1/8 inches and 3 7/8 inches x 7/8 inch


Attach DSP panels to Whisper White panels using liquid glue or double sided tape.


Then attach coloured panels to either end of the Night of Navy base card. 


The larger of the two coloured Panels will overlap the Night of Navy by about one inch.


This forms the basic card which can now be decorated to your taste.


In this example I have cut another panel of Night of Navy to 4 inches x 2 3/8 inches and a panel of Whisper White to 3 7/8 inches x 2 1/4 inches. 

Stamp Whisper White panel with Happy Birthday sentiment, three vases (overlapping) and weeping style bloom in black ink as shown.

Colour vases in light Pool Party Stampin Blends and go over the overlapping sections with Dark Pool Party. The flowers are coloured in Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie. Attached stamped panel to Night of Navy panel and then mount both on front of card with foam squares or Stampin' Dimensionals.


Stamp the bottom quarter of the second white panel with small blossoms in Night of Navy ink and sentiment "Hoping your day blooms with happiness" and attach to the inside of the card with liquid glue.


Finished. Well Done!

Z-fold card featuring Wonderful Romance Bundle from Stampin Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I feature the beautiful Wonderful Romance Bundle with a lovely z-fold card in Petal Pink. To make this card cut a piece of Petal Pink cardstock 11 5/8" x 6". Score at 3 7/8" and 7 3/4" along the long edge. Mark one 6" edge at 3 1/2" and cut from the opposite top corner to this mark to create angle. See diagram below: Using a lead pencil draw a light line 1 5/8" from angle. This will be your guide for die cutting the decorative edge. Using the guide line run the leaf edge die thru your Bigshot, starting at narrow edge. Carefully align the beginning of the die with the end of the previous cut to avoid doubling up. Remove the small cut outs. Card should look like this. Cut 3 pieces of matching paper measuring 3 3/4" wide and as high as the highest point of each of the three panels of your card.
