Layered Stamp Card featuring Share What You Love Suite

Welcome to my blog. Today I feature the brand new Love What You Do Stamp Set and gorgeous Grapefruit Grove Stamp Pad in this simple but effective layered stamp card for a special friend. Both products are now available to customers as part of one of three Share What You Love early release bundles. Keep reading for details of these bundles and a great offer from me and Stampin' Up!

To make this lovely card, cut a base card from Grapefruit Grove cardstock measuring 5 1/2 inches x 8 1/4 inches, score and fold at 4 1/8 inches to make card measuring 5 1/2 inches x 4 1/4 inches folded.

Also cut from Grapefruit Grove cardstock:
  • 4 3/8 inches x 3 1/4 inches
  • 3 3/8 inches x 2 1/4 inches
from Very Vanilla cardstock:
  • 5 3/8 inches x 4 inches
  • 4 1/4 inches x 3 1/8 inches
  • 3 1/4 inches x 2 1/8 inches

Using temporary adhesive secure your three pieces of very vanilla cardstock in size order to prevent them moving around during stamping.

Stamp across all three layers of card as desired. For this card I have started with the stemmed flower stamp from the set as the feature image with the smaller stems in green (Old Olive).

Then used the Grapefruit Grove Ink Pad to stamp the flower buds at the end of each stem.

Grapefruit Grove is a lovely vibrant colour so I stamped it off once before applying to card to tone it down a tad. Use small paint brush and ink, markers or blends to colour flowers.

Separate the layers and adhere to the corresponding piece of Grapefruit Grove cardstock.

Layer and adhere these pieces so that stems and blooms line up.

Stamp sentiment (here I have used "I'm lucky to have a friend like you" from the stamp set) and add other embellishments as desired.

Done! A lovely card using less than two sheets of cardstock and two shades of ink. Why not try this technique with other stamp sets and show me your results on my facebook page @stampinwithjulianne?

Z-fold card featuring Wonderful Romance Bundle from Stampin Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I feature the beautiful Wonderful Romance Bundle with a lovely z-fold card in Petal Pink. To make this card cut a piece of Petal Pink cardstock 11 5/8" x 6". Score at 3 7/8" and 7 3/4" along the long edge. Mark one 6" edge at 3 1/2" and cut from the opposite top corner to this mark to create angle. See diagram below: Using a lead pencil draw a light line 1 5/8" from angle. This will be your guide for die cutting the decorative edge. Using the guide line run the leaf edge die thru your Bigshot, starting at narrow edge. Carefully align the beginning of the die with the end of the previous cut to avoid doubling up. Remove the small cut outs. Card should look like this. Cut 3 pieces of matching paper measuring 3 3/4" wide and as high as the highest point of each of the three panels of your card. Here my three panels are 2 5/8" x 3 3/4", 3 1/2" x 3 3/4" and 4 1/4...
